ABOUT

Gregg Bordes

Welcome to a new episode of the Next Matters Most podcasts, where we talk about the future of business, innovation, and technology. In this episode, we're talking with Greg Bordes, partner, and co-founder of Front Porch Capital. Front Porch is a VC firm based out of the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina that is working on something that I think is new and innovative—a hybrid model—meaning they invest not only directly into startups but into other startup funds as well.

The benefit to an investor is you can write one check into a smaller and newer fund but get exposure to all of the areas and regions of venture capital firms. This increases your diversification. You can participate in many funds with the size and allocation of one fund, which I think helps many investors get off the sidelines and start participating in venture capital as an asset class. They're working on something that I think is important to grow the pie of small business and innovation in our market, our region, and the world. We're very happy to be speaking with Greg.
