In the event of an emergency, users can send alerts to designated contacts via text, email, or calls, sharing their precise location through GPS. Grooop combines fun and functionality by motivating social interactions while prioritizing safety, making it the ultimate solution for friends looking out for each other during nights out.

Our journey began with extensive research, including competitive and landscape analysis, and people-centered insights. We aimed to provide a passive way for groups to monitor each other's safety, promote safe travel coordination, and prioritize accuracy and dependability. The focus on a single core feature ensured reliability without compromising safety. We also strived to make the app engaging to encourage adoption and inspire social interactions.
The result was the Grooop iOS app, designed to simplify safety sharing among friends. Users can create groups, activate geolocation tracking, and subtly share their safety status. In case of emergency, the app allows users to alert their emergency contacts, notifying them through text, email, or call, with the alert displayed on a map via GPS. Group members receive notifications with the user's location when an emergency state is detected. Additionally, users can swiftly update their status to inform friends about their safety status.
